Black and Blue by Renee DeMarcus

Black and Blue is a quick read with sizzling hot chemistry between Kat and Derek.
Kat Chastain sings for a living - sexy, sultry, come-hither songs that have her nearly masturbating on stage for her audience. It's the gig, it's what she does.
Derek Black responds to her come-on fondlings like nobody's business. Newly hired as her body guard, Kat is ordered off limits. And even though she’s too wild for him, he thinks, he’s definitely into testing those orders
Originally I thought Kat was slightly bitchy and thought her stardom had gone to her head, but as Black and Blue went on she grew on me. Kat turned from someone I found somewhat bitchy to someone sexy and confident.

Derek however I loved him. I found him to be a sweet and dependable man. I loved how he took guardianship of his younger brother. I loved the steamy relationship between Kat and Derek from the beginning.

I loved how Derek went from thinking Kat was like she portrayed herself on stage, to being someone he could send the rest of his life with. However I felt that because Derek's mother had a different man in her bed every week that he thought Kat was the same way. I didn't really understand why he thought Kat slept around, but I am glad he got over it.

Overall I would have loved some more in different spots of Black and Blue but I found it to be a good read. I would recommend it to any romance and erotica readers who are looking for a quick read.
