Corporate Desires by Bridget Midway

After finishing Corporate Seduction I started right away on the second installment Corporate Desires. From the first book the secondary character Madame Z made an impression and I wanted to read more about her.
Fresh from her recent incarceration, Edna “Madame Z.” Zulma wants a normal life. Unfortunately between her new boss and her parole officer, she’s finding it hard to be plain ol’ Edna. Throw in the very sexy office manager, Burton McCutcheon, and Edna is starting to think about the BDSM lifestyle again.
Burton’s goal of staying focused as he tries to start his own business is affected as soon as Edna Zulma arrives. When he discovers her BDSM past, he decides to fulfill her fantasies…and his.
The renowned Madame Z, is now simply Edna, a women nearing forty who just got out of prison, and now lives at home with her mother. She is still fantasizes by the man who drove her to the breaking point, but knows she can never have him. After getting out of prison she takes a regular job and hopes to find some happiness but doubts things will ever start looking up. At least until she meets Burton McCutcheon.

Burton is a man that denied himself for so long. Now that he is divorced he is determined to change his life, and find the control he needs both in the bedroom and out. He finds himself both confused and attracted to his office assistant Eden.

I loved that both Eden and Burton had histories and skeletons in the closet, that molded them into the people they are. I enjoyed watching their relationship flourish. I was honestly surprised I have enjoyed this series so much since I am a firm believer that you shouldn't mix work and romance. I just don't believe office romances work, especially when he is your boss.

Once again fans will not be disappointed with Bridget Midway's second installment in the Corporate series, Corporate Desires. Bridget is an excellent writer, and the characters are fantastic. The is enough emotion and tension to keep you turning the pages until the end.
