Honestly I have to be up front that the only reason I read
Dirty Little Lie
is because it was the second book in the series. I already read
Dirty Little Secret (the first book) and wanted to read
Dirty Little Trip (the third book), so I had to read this one. The reason I didn't want to read it is because it has M/M scenes, and basically that isn't my cup of tea unless there is a women thrown into the mix.
Cheating husband, Bobby Joe, lies to his soon to be ex-wife and himself about his interests but faces the truth when a handsome stranger comes to town. When he hooks up with the dashing charmer, he receives a Valentine's Day surprise beyond his imagining.
However saying that I have to say there was a lot of background story, about Ash that you really need to know to understand
Dirty Little Trip fully. I didn't care for Bobby Joe. I hate when men cheat on their wives and don't think they did anything wrong. That to me is how Bobby Joe came off. I honestly didn't see what Ash saw in Bobby Joe.
I have to say that
Dirty Little Lie
surprised me. It wasn't like the other ones I have read. Overall I can't really say that I cared for
Dirty Little Lie, but to fully understand the rest of the series it was something I was willing to read. Thankfully it was a short read. The ending was somewhat surprising, and did make me care for the story a little more then I thought I would.
