I Didn't Hear Anything by Jenni Holbrook

I have always loved romance novels with sexy cop hero, so I Didn't Hear Anything sparked my interests. Owen the sexy Chief of Police can be summed up in one word, delicious.
Courtney Nash wants one thing and one thing only – her soul-mate. However, getting Chief Owen McNally’s attention isn’t is easy as she thought it would be. With a little help from her dead grandmother, a few love potions, and some pesky raccoons, Courtney sets out to get her man.
Owen isn’t overly fond of Halloween. Something bad always happens and this year would be no exception. But Owen isn’t prepared for the return of his high school sweet heart, or the voice in the back of his mind telling him Courtney is the woman of his dreams. Especially when that voice sounds hauntingly like Courtney’s late grandmother.
Courtney and Owen had a teenage love until Courtney's mother dragged her out of town and away from Owen. Courtney is old enough to move back to the town she grew up in, back to Owen, and really would like to start again where they left it. I loved that Courtney still had this teenage love for Owen and wanted to turn it into a serious relationship. With the help of her dead Grandmother who she can still hear, she knows Owen is her soulmate and will do anything she can to prove it to him.

Owen isn't sure what to do about Courtney moving back to town. He still has feeling for her but thinks they are just childhood feelings. He isn't sure how to act around her so he stays away from her. I thought it was cute that he could hear Lily, Courtney's Grandmother also. Owen is a sexy cop in uniform that rides to Courtney's rescue. Now who doesn't love a sexy man in uniform coming to your rescue?

Overall I Didn't Hear Anything was a good novel. I would have loved a little more action or suspense to it but the romance between Courtney and Owen was tastefully done. If you enjoy sweet romances with men in uniform I Didn't Hear Anything is a must read.
