Through Her Eyes by Janet Eaves

Through Her Eyes is by far one of the best novellas I have read this year. Through Her Eyes is such a sweet story. There is such chemistry between the main characters that you can feel every emotion as if you were them.
Allie Winchester is at a loss. Her war-time job has been given to a man. It's almost Christmas, and she's about to be homeless. And she never found the man of her dreams even though she danced her way through World War II with every soldier who passed through Legend, Tennessee.
Just when she thinks all is lost, Allie is offered a job to care for an injured soldier. The position includes an incredible income, a home to live in, a car to drive, and the freedom to decorate as she sees fit. Thinking she has hit on the job of her dreams, Allie dives into preparations for her blinded patient, only to find him mad at the world and irritatingly rude to her.
Once she has gotten over the fear of losing her position, Allie decides to give as good as she gets, only to find their verbal sparring flames more than her anger. Being the good girl she is, Allie is mortified by her reactions to a man she can barely tolerate. Being a young inexperienced woman, Allie finds herself fascinated by those reactions. And once she peels back the layers of George Sterling's anger, Allie finds herself wanting to help him find the light in a world gone dark, without losing her heart in the process.
From the first page of Through Her Eyes I loved Allie. She had some hardships in her life but she was doing whatever she could to overcome them and to find herself a husband to spend the rest of her life with. Now that World War II was over, not many soldiers were passing through Legend and the Allie's job was given to a soldier returning home from the war. Allie was in a slump, until she got a job offer she couldn't refuse, she was to take care of a soldier George Sterling who lost his eye sight in the war.

As expected George was upset about losing his sight, and was somewhat grumpy at times. I thought George took losing his sight pretty good, but as Through Her Eyes went on we were able to see George open up and start to gain his self esteem back. George was sweet and caring. I loved that even though George came from money he never acted better then Allie or the other residents of Legend.

Through Her Eyes is a wonderful story. There is so much detail in the story you can picture it all happening. I loved the idea of taking a ran down house and making it a home, there are so many possibilities on what you could do. I loved seeing the relationship between George and Allie build, and I am so glad they got their happy ever after. Through Her Eyes is the perfect novella for all romance loves.
