His Hired Baby by Jacqueline Diamond

After reading The Would-Be Mommy, I was eager to dive into His Hired Baby. I wanted so know more about Tony Franco, and for him to have his own story.
Surrogate mom Kate Evans, a widow with a five-year-old son, isn't looking forward to her upcoming delivery--not because of the pain, but because when it's over the doctor will place her baby in the arms of the couple who hired her. When Kate gets the startling news that Tony Franco's wife has abandoned him, it only makes her feel more conflicted.
Second thoughts or not, Kate signed a contract, and she won't go back on her word. Instead, she offers to help prepare Tony for single parenthood, never expecting to fall for him in the process. But once their baby is born, she'll lose both of them forever...unless she can convince Tony to give love another chance.
Kate Evans, is hired as a surggote to have Tony and Ester Franco's baby. I enjoyed that Kate was a women who would stick by her commitment even with second thoughts. She became a surrogate mother to help giver her son and her a better life, after her husband was killed. She had wonderful attentions, and was a great character. You have to be someone pretty special to be willing to carry a child for another couple and then not have anything to do with the child. Kate proved she was a special person in His Hired Baby.

Tony now he was a great character. The more I heard about Ester the more I disliked her, I thought Tony deserved better. After Ester left him I kept hearing about her from Tony and I wanted him to open his eyes and see what was in front of him - Kate. They seemed like a perfect match to me.

You can relate to what Kate is going through in His Hired Baby even if you have never been there. Jacqueline makes it feel real for you. His Hired Baby is a wonderful story, even the subplot is gripping and will hold you attention. The characters in His Hired Baby are ones you will root for and hope will come out on top.
