I Dream of Genies by Judi Fennell

I have been a fan of Judi Fennell since her mermaid series, so when she came out with I Dream of Genies I knew I wanted to read it. Genies is something different, and I really wasn't sure about it. But Judi does a wonderful job bringing I Dream of Genies to life.
He needs to change his luck, and fast!
Matt Ewing would gladly hunt down a fortune in lucky pennies if he thought it would help save his business. But for all his hoping, Matt’s clueless when his long awaited lucky charm falls in his lap in the form of a beguiling genie. He just can’t believe that this beautiful woman could be the answer to his prayers…
She’s been bottled up for far too long!
Spending 2,000 years in a bottle would make any woman go a little stir crazy. So when Matt releases Eden from her luxurious captivity, she’s thrilled to repay him by giving him the magical boost he needs…
But for all her good intentions, Eden’s magical prowess is a little rusty and her magical mistakes become more than embarrassing. And though Eden knows falling in love will end her magic and immortality, she can’t help but be drawn to the one man who wants her just for herself…
For almost 2,000 years Eden, a genie, is imprisoned in her bottle for breaking the code. I enjoyed her character, and watching her crush on Matt while she was stuck in her bottle. Watching Matt jog by her bottle gave her the highlight of her day. I loved the strong connect that Eden had with Matt. They are cute together and have real passion.

I Dream of Genies is a wonderful blend of magic, adventure, romance, with a nice dose of mythology. I loved the humor that Judi added throughout I Dream of Genies. Eden and Matt where a great match for each other and equaled each other out. I Dream of Genies did not disappoint. I Dream of Genies is a great read for someone who is looking for a different twist on a paranormal romance novel.

You're right about the humor. Deliciously wicked. I had to giggle at the scene with the eunuch dubbed "Newly-Snipped".

"A stricken look crossed the eunuch’s face just as Kal realized what he’d said. The guy didn’t have the balls, actually."

"Newly snipped, probably. And not happy about it"

I'll bet! LOL.
