Black Cat Fever by Desiree Holt

When I read the blurb for Black Cat Fever I knew I had to pick it up. I am a huge fan of big cat shifters, and Black Cat Fever is about panther shifters. Seemed like a perfect fit for me.
It’s Halloween, and for two special black cats the night when they must find their mates—or else.
Panther shifter Dea Russo waits each year for Halloween, the only night to search for her mate. As the daughter of the late pack alpha she has the power to pass along to the male she chooses.
But each Halloween passes without success until the night she meets Kyle Donovan, a man who pleasures her senses in every way possible—until mixed breed outcast Dane Maguire tries to stake a claim.
Will Kyle arise from the bed of erotic pleasure to defend the woman who holds his future in her hands?
Dea Russo is thirty-two and needs to find a mate. Since she is the daughter of the deceased alpha she has someone temporally in charge but he is getting tired and wants to step down. If Dea can find a mate, than he can take over ruling the panthers.

Cross breading and humans are not an option for Dea, and she has been on the lookout for a mate for some time. She is starting to wonder if she will ever mate. There are men who want to mate with her, especially Dane, but they are only after her for the power.

But Kyle Donovan is different. He has watched Dea for a year, and finally makes his move on Halloween. Since according to Desiree Holt, the shifters can only mate on Halloween. When Kyle makes his move it drew me into Black Cat Fever even more and made me want to keep reading.

Overall Black Cat Fever was really good. I love big cat shifters, and loved Desiree's writing style. I liked the idea of shifters only being able to mate at certain times of the year. That was something different and added a little spice to Black Cat Fever. Black Cat Fever is something that shifter fans will enjoy, especially big cat shifter fans.
