The Genie of The Portrait by: Misty Burke

The Genie of the Portrait, is an excellent book. It centers on three characters: Amanda, Jason, and William. In the beginning, it deals with just Amanda and Jason who have been dating for five years and living together for a few years also.
Three nights of pleasure…will it be enough?
Amanda had always been forgiving, until the night of her engagement. It was at that moment, when she found her fiancé banging the waitress in the bathroom, that she changed. Never again. Men were not going to use her ever again.
So when she found William’s portrait and learned that his sole purpose for existing was to please her, an electrifying relationship resulted. Her genie offered her three nights of pleasure. And Amanda quickly realized she wanted more.
The first character we meet is Amanda. Amanda is the type of woman that all men would love to date, she is sensible, caring and would do anything for her man. Unfortunately she gets screwed by her boyfriend Jason.

Jason, in one word is a jerk!!! He takes advantage of Amanda, and uses her. He doesn't come home from work some nights, and doesn't seem to appreciate what he has. He decides to propose to her one night, but only to make himself look better to his associates, and hopefully secure a higher paying job.

The another main character is William. William is an awesome guy, with a problem, he is a genie who is supposed to serve woman, to pay for a crime committed by his brother. William helps Amanda to forget about Jason and move on.

I feel that Misty Burke did an excellent job with The Genie of the Portrait. There is a great sex scene, where you can feel the tension rise, and can picture Amanda. Misty makes you care for the characters, therefore you feel bad for Amanda and are glad that she realizes what a jerk Jason is. Than when she meets William, you want to cheer for her to be happy. The Genie of the Portrait is a great book, with a great ending.
