Harnessing the Moon by AJ Hampton

Harnessing the Moon is the second book I have read by AJ Hampton and this one was my favorite by far. That isn't just because there were tiger shifters, which I loved, but the story in Harnessing the Moon really came alive. AJ did an amazing job at bringing every aspect of Harnessing the Moon to life for the readers.

Although Jade Delaney is compelled by the cycle of the moon to find a true mate, she does everything in her power to resist. Resistance, for Jade, includes sating her inner tigress with casual, erotic play. That's why, when she's invited to a sex party, she takes up the invitation.
Quickly, the erotic play grows less casual. Jade realizes her host, Hunter, is a not only a shifter, a tiger, but quite possibly her true mate. He's willing to do whatever it takes to bind her to him--heart and soul--no matter how hard she resists.
This title contains explicit language, graphic sex, and BDSM practices (rope bondage).
Jade left her territory in Colorado because there were too many alphas and she didn't want to settle down. Little did she know that she was walking right into what she thought she didn't want. Kerry, her best friend, invited her to a sex party where she finds her mate, Hunter.

The heat between Jade and Hunter is sizzling. I enjoyed the Shibari, an aspect of Japanese bondage type of play. AJ brings that Shibari scenes alive, without  overloading the reader with boring details of how Hunter tied Jade up.

Harnessing the Moon is about two people finding each other and taking the chance. Jade was willing to trust Hunter, and in the end they were able to find something Jade wasn't sure she wanted.

Harnessing the Moon blew me away and I loved every page of it. Harnessing the Moon is a very erotica novella with tiger shapeshifters. The twist at the end about Kerri was awesome. I didn't see that coming. You want to know what the twist is? Then you are going to have to read Harnessing the Moon because I'm not giving it away.
