Hide and Secret by Denysé Bridger

The blurb for Hide and Secret caught my eye but I am not really sure it lived up to what I expected. I think the biggest reason for that is how it was told. Bella told the story to the reader, there was no action. It was just her telling the story to us. Therefore it didn't seem to come alive for me. I didn't really feel the Hide and Secret.

Though I didn't really feel the story in Hide and Secret, the love that Bella had for Quinn came crossed the page. Hide and Secret gives you a look into what might go through the mind of a women who is with a man committed to another women.

I wanted to hate Quinn. He was with engaged to another women but was with Bella on the side. I don't think much of a man who would do that. However I can't say I hated Quinn, I didn't care for his character, but hate is too strong of a word. I could understand the situation that Quinn was in but I think it got out of hand fast and he should have stopped it long before he did.

Overall Hide and Secret wasn't bad. I would have preferred the story if it wasn't just Bella telling it and we could read what happened between the characters first hand. I didn't like hearing about the story second hand.
