In Plain Sight by Marie Tuhart

In Plain Sight by Marie Tuhart is a great romance with a little excitement. I enjoyed In Plain Sight almost as much as I enjoyed Quick Silver Ranch: Roped and Ready, though they are both a different type of romance. I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.
Bad boy businessman Joe Bradshaw has achieved almost everything he’s wanted in life, but his strait-laced colleague Victoria Collins is proving an elusive challenge. A steamy encounter in the elevator begins a wild journey of sensual discovery. Joe’s determined to break through Vicki’s barriers to reveal the red-hot woman hiding inside. But Vicki is stalked by her past—her ex-fiancé will stop at nothing to get her back. Falling in love and keeping Vicki safe could be the biggest challenges of Joe’s life.
Victoria Collins has been hurt before so she has closed herself off to love. She makes sure she presents herself properly to the world outside. She dresses and acts professionally at work. She denies her attraction to Joe Bradshaw because she isn’t going to go down that road again. Her last office romance ended with her losing her job. When she gets stuck in the elevator with the very man she is trying to avoid her world will spin out of control. Will she be able to continue to resist him or will she come unglued? Will she find love with him or will history be repeated? Is she even willing to find out?

Joe Bradshaw never expected to find the woman of his dreams when he accepted his newest job. He’d accepted the offer because the money was good and he owned a house in the area. He could tell Victoria was guarded but what he didn’t know is why. She was beautiful and he wanted her. He had to find a way to win her over. He didn’t want to scare her so he would wait. Then the opportunity arises when he is stuck in the elevator with her. Could he convince her he wanted her and for more than a one night stand or a few kicks in the bedroom? Could he break past his barriers? Could he control his needs to meet her needs?

I liked Victoria’s character because she reminds me of my best friend. She was hurt so much she would rather settle for second best…which I think we all do sometimes. That made her easy to identify with. I really enjoyed Joe’s character as well he was very patient with her and was able to bring Vicki out of her shell. He showed her that he was willing to take things at her pace that he really cared for her. He was a real gentlemen and an all around good guy.

I would recommend In Plain Sight to anyone who likes sweet romances with a little bit of action as well. There are a lot of excellent detailed sex scenes that range from the normal everyday scene to the fantastic “fantasy” type scenarios. I enjoyed every page of In Plain Sight
