Mad About Mirabelle by Amarinda Jones

Have hot stranger sex in the limo when the drive thinks you are your semi-famous friend…check. Try not to freak out when he turns out to be your old lady neighbor’s nephew…check. Take him up on the offer to have more sex…um, check? But what to do when neighbor’s house burns down and her nephew starts to claim he is Mad About Mirabelle (i.e. you)?!?
Holy crap! Mirabelle Turner's new next door neighbor is the last man she expected to ever see again. It was one thing to have knee wobbling sex with this dark sexy stranger in the back of a limo but quite another to find him staying next door with his Aunt Lila. Can she resist the temptations of the boy next door?
Flynn Curtis is more than happy to tempt the delectable Mirabelle. He is mad about her. When his Aunt Lila's house mysteriously burns down he gladly accepts the reluctant Mirabelle's offer for he and his Aunt to move in with her. It is the start of all sorts of moves Flynn intends to make on his new neighbor.
Mirabelle is trapped by courtesy, lust and sudden realization that she is falling in love with Flynn. But does the person who burnt down Lila’s house have other plans for Mirabelle? And is Aunt Lila really the sweet old lady she seems? Can Flynn save the woman he is mad about?
Warnings: This title contains graphic language and lots of sex.
Mirabelle Turner starts her two week vacation by going to a club with a friend who insists she take the limo home. On the ride home, Mirabelle ends up having hot sex with the driver. This is completely unlike her, but there was just something about him she couldn’t resist. He thinks she is her semi-famous friend and she didn’t even get his name. Which is a real shame, because it was the best sex she has ever has. Then the next morning he is on her neighbor’s porch!

Flynn Curtis is an engineer who has just finished working at the mines up in Fat North Queensland (in Weipa). He only drove the limo the one night as a favor for his friend who owns the company. He was taken enough with Mirabelle to look up her friend, surprised when she wasn’t Mirabelle. But he has come to stay with his Aunt Lila, Mirabelle’s older neighbor, while his house is being finished since he is moving here to Brisbane. He is so happy to have located the hot beauty from the limo!

Flynn is able to seduce Mirabelle again, bringing out her wild side. When Aunt Lila’s house burns down, Mirabelle does the neighborly thing and offers them a place to stay. Flynn is thrilled. Because he realizes what his father told him ages ago is true: when the right one comes along, it only takes a moment to fall, time is not necessary. Flynn knows he is in love with her. Now he has to convince her he is the one for her as well.

But someone is going to make that hard… Mirabelle is a little too curious for her own good. She hears someone over at Lila’s place, messing in the rubble. Then catches Lila digging around over there as well. When Lila is attacked, Mirabelle knows more is going on then they know about. But who would hurt an old lady? Or want something in a pile of burn out house? And getting Flynn to believe her is going to take a lot of effort when he is so distracted with her...

Mad About Mirabelle is the second book by Amarinda I have read, and I like this one even better than Seducing Celestine (review should be here). Amarinda Jones seems to write (okay, I’ve only read a couple of her books, but so far…) about men who: are great looking, have/give great sex, well-to-do/rich, don’t let the woman say no (not as in refuse, but convinces her she wants to have sex with him again and again), fall in love fast, bring the wild side out in the women, peruses the woman single mindedly, and oh, end up having to save the girl, too! Not that these don’t make great, sexy fun stories, but one has to leave reality behind when reading them. As long as you are happy doing that, you will have a blast with her work and with Mad About Mirabelle specifically. And be warned: this has many and very graphic sex scenes (not for the faint of heart by any means). I really have to ask what they put in the drinking water in Australia? Because we don’t have men like that around here!

I really liked Mad About Mirabelle. Mirabelle is a nice average person, one we can easily see ourselves as. But her “nosey neighbor” attitude sure gets her into trouble here (lol). She has the issue with falling in love too fast and then not admitting it for a while. Again, standard and average girl response. Flynn hits home for me. He seems to come from a line of men who do the ‘fall in love at first sight’ (if we can call what they did here that). He doesn’t fight it, but embraces it and sets out to get his woman. And when she is in danger, he doesn’t hesitate to ride to the rescue! This man is “all that plus a bag o chips” as my nieces would say.

Mad About Mirabelle is a great mix of stories. Mystery and suspense/danger. Erotic romance, but love as well. Amarinda did great with the story and kept the surprises coming till the end. This one will entertain as well as excite you.
