Moon Thrall by Mel Teshco

Moon Thrall is slightly different then other paranormal werewolf stories I have read. In Moon Thrall you don't go through the change until your twenty fifth birthday and most times your parent's don't even tell you that you are a werewolf. So you go through the change without any idea what is happening to you.

Elyse Wellston escapes from her brutal, violent ex-fiancé to a remote cabin in Australia. Fearing for her life, Elyse knows it doesn’t make sense for her to react the way she does upon meeting the enigmatic Dane Maddox.
Only when she discovers he is a werewolf and she is his weren—his mate and a werewolf herself—does she begin to understand the hot, sexual yearning within. No longer does she need to act out a desire she doesn’t feel. Dane is everything she wants. But will her ex end her happiness and her sexual fulfillment before it even has a chance to begin?

Elyse doesn't know she is a werewolf. Her parents died in a car accident a few years ago and she got hooked up with an abusive man. She leaves her ex-fiance Caleb, goes to the remote cabin and that is when the changes start happening to her. I have to admit I was surprised by how well Elyse took the change and she didn't harbor hurt feelings that her parents didn't tell her what she was. She just accepted it.

Caleb comes back from her, can she get away again? There is a new man in the picture, but is he to be trusted? Elyse must figure out who to trust and what her next move is if she wants to make it through Moon Thrall alive.

Moon Thrall started out a little slow for me back after about half way through it really picked up. Mel Teshco is a new author for me but she was able to bring the story alive. To make me care for Elyse in just a few short pages. Moon Thrall is only 68 pages but Mel sure packs it in those pages.
