Strip For Me by Amarinda Jones

Rett is stuck in Resort City without money, transportation, or a Work Visa. She has little choice but to accept Hamish’s “Strip For Me” offer at his club. But it is not an offer to strip that he is suggesting…
Rett Cameron is stranded in Resort City without a cent to her name. She wants to go home to Australia but how does she do that without money? When one of the locals offers to pay her for her sexual services, she’s stunned. Sex with strangers? For money? Or is there more involved?
Hamish Clark, the local strip club owner, has a suggestion for Rett. Strip for me and I’ll pay you. The minute he saw Rett he wanted her. He soon discovers she has other needs than just money. But Hamish has a problem. Not all women like him. One wants him dead.
Be Warned: bdsm, multiple partners, sex toys, anal sex.
Rett Cameron works for Second Comings, an erotic toy manufacture, in Australia. Her boss sent her to Miami to discuss expanding into the international market with a manufacture in Miami. After business was done, she ended up in Los Vegas with other Aussies and only had enough money left to get to Resort City, FL. Now she has to figure out how to get the couple hundred miles from Resort City to Miami and take care of herself until her return flight home to Australia. But with no money and no Work Visa, she isn’t sure how to do that. Until The Howl and Pussy club is suggested to her.

Eight months ago, Hamish Clark was taking a break from construction work when he looked up his old friend Seth in Resort City. Seth was hearing the ‘call of the serf’ (ocean) and just up and signed the ownership of his strip club, The Howl and Pussy, over to Hamish. Hamish is running the club while waiting for Seth to return, expecting him back when he runs out of money. In the mean while, it gives Hamish something to do while he figures out what he wants/where he wants to go with his life. When Rett walks in and tilts his world sideways, he just may have found it.

The Howl and Pussy is not just a strip club. It also caters to the fetish/sexual needs of higher end (i.e. rich) of the city. Hamish offers Rett a “sexual odyssey” as well as the money she needs to get home. What neither are aware of is that another employee is watching them and their attraction, planning on using Rett against Hamish. Amelia Hanson got the job as cleaner to get to Hamish after her sister, Meg, killed herself over him and his rejection of her. Now Amelia has finally found something she thinks she can use to hurt him, even if it means hurting someone else…

As with Eat Me Up (see my review here), Strip For Me is part of the “Sex Odyssey Series;” the fast, (explicit) sexy reads from Evernight Publishing. I have reviewed a couple others in this group by Amarinda Jones already, like Hush and Eat Me Up. I’m not sure about others in this series, but Jones’ stories happen around Resort City, FL and have lots of graphic, often kinky, sex. But that is the idea around the “Sex Odyssey Series,” so be prepared when choosing to read them. And if that is what you are in the mood for, these deliver with imagination and unexpected wildness.

Strip For Me really is a “sexual odyssey” as is suggested by the series title (maybe more so than the others I read). Rett experiences a variety of sex and even some of the fetishes out there. Rett is refreshing in embracing her sexuality. She doesn’t think of or call herself a slut (even if her straight laced sister does), and keeps an open mind of the fetishes she encounters at the club, even the odd ones. With our Puritan-influenced society in America, all too often women are regarded negatively when they enjoy sex. So I must admit I appreciate it when the women are able to be just like the men without the negative attitudes or self-images.

I have to say that Hamish and Rett falling for each other is hard to believe. Makes for a great story, and adds to Strip For Me no question, yet really just feels like lust and hormones. But that is why we all like the old fairy tales and this follows that idea (boy, would I have trashed those concepts too?). I love the idea of Hamish all but inherited the strip club from his friend when the friend decides to leave everything to go surfing. I do find it hard to believe that he never got together with any of his workers though. I mean what single man would be able to resist all those women? (He is supposed to be really good looking and all…) For eight months? And Rett looses all her money in Los Vegas then ended up in a strip/sex club in some little town in FL. That is just funny as can be! I love some of the little plot twists Amarinda comes up with to set up these stories…

Strip For Me is another fast read that is truly a “sexual odyssey” this time. Hamish helps Rett experience more in these few pages then most do in a life time. Strip For Me is a wild ride and in the end Rett teaches Hamish as much as she learns from him, if in a slightly more subtle way. If you have read any of this series or Amarinda Jones’ work, you won’t want to miss this one.
