Claire is a business owner in her forties. Her past relationships are nothing to write home about. Claire decides it is time to live for herself and when someone suggests treating herself to a weekend at XTC Resorts, she is hesitant, but wants this one chance to explore her desires. She is a strong woman who has been through a lot; raising a son on her own, one failed marriage and two failed serious relationships. I really liked that Claire is an older woman (early forties), it was easier to relate to her on a personal level.

Jonathon loves Claire and has for years, but she only sees her little brother’s best friend when she looks at him. Jonathon has been around Claire enough to help her through rough spots and be someone she can lean on, but he has never expressed his feelings for her. I liked Jonathon as a character really early in the story and again at the end. I didn’t like his deceitful practices with Claire, even given his justification of such. I think I was as upset as she was when she found out.

Maid for Master is a sexy erotic romance with lots of emotion. Friendship, love, anger, and hate all forge bonds between the characters as they experience something new. Ms. Pierce brings to life the story of Claire and how her darkest desires do not make her a bad person. In Maid for Master, she explores the ability to live out those fantasies and still be a strong woman.

Maid for Master is the perfect book for someone looking for a story of love with hot fantasies and even hotter interactions. It has a softer romantic side of the BDSM lifestyle that is fun and exciting to read about. Maid for Master is book one in the XTC Resort Series, book two, Invitation to Ecstasy is already available and I can’t wait to see what else Nina Pierce has in story as I anxiously hope for more books in this series.
